An information systems specialist analyses and maps out an organisation’s business processes to work out how to optimise its operations. They design, deliver, test and implement IT systems and provide desktop or network support to staff.
This major focuses on how information technology is used to collect, process and output information in organisations, and provides an in-depth knowledge of computer programming and design, and systems implementation and management.
You will gain an introduction to programming and design, systems implementation and IT management and will study topical and smart content to assist with implementing information technology solutions that can help you to solve different types of business problems.
Business Information Technology is offered as part of the Bachelor of Commerce. You can enhance your studies with a secondary major or choose from a range of elective units to support your career goals.
