Mobile Application Development
This major focuses on the design and development of apps for mobile platforms such as iOS or Android. Industrial standards will be introduced to build responsive webs, various apps and games for mobile applications. The development and deployment of apps for mobile platforms will be the main practice.
Networks and Information Security
This major focuses on the design and management of network systems. Industrial standards will be introduced to design, secure and manage local and wide area networks. Network design and security administration will be the main practice.
Software Design and Development
This major focuses on the design and development of enterprise software systems. Industrial standards will be introduced to build reliable, scalable, secure and fully distributed enterprise software systems. Enterprise software architecture and component interaction will be the main practice.
Project and Program Management
The Project and Program Management Minor enables you to develop the foundations in project management and develop both ‘soft’ and ‘hard’ managerial skills in meeting the needs of projects in small to large organisations. With a strong emphasis on project management based on standards, frameworks, as well as ethics, and corporate governance the minor will meet the needs of the aspiring project management in a small to large range of project environments.
On completing a Master of Information Technology, you can choose a career in a wide variety of roles including analyst programmer, computer network systems engineer, database administrator, developer programmer, ICT architect, ICT consultant, ICT customer support officer, ICT security specialist, ICT support engineer, ICT support technician, ICT systems test engineer, network administrator, project manager, software and apps programmer, software engineer, systems administrator and web developer.
